The goal of this list is to encourage and develop the fighters and marshals of the Tri-Shire area. The Tri-Shire Area is defined, for the purposes of this list, as the Shires of Frosted Hills, Nordenhalle, and Coill Tuar and the New York Rusted Woodlands.
Academie Rapier is a collection of information that currently is used by SCA – East Kingdom members. The information varies from Treaties of Rapier to SCA Fencing Armor and patterns. This is a unofficial site.
Group to facilitate communication and filesharing among the participants in the East Kingdom’s most recent incarnation of the Sidesword Experiment. Volume on this list is expected to be low – any real discussion should really happen either on one of the more general fencing lists, or in person. I don’t want to fraction an already small community. But, I need a way to send mail to the interested parties, without spamming the lists, and I want an easy place to put files (like the current experiment proposal), hence this group.

A place to share news, information, discussion, and pictures regarding SCA armored combat in and around the NYC (Crown Province of Ostgardr) area. Please feel free to announce events, practices, workshops, discuss topics of interest to SCA fighters, post pictures of NYC area fighters.
This group was originally started as a way to bring Gladiator style fighting into the SCA. But I have extended it to all of those interested in the Gladiatorial style of combat,weapons,and training. If you are an SCA fighter, or in any of the other great reenactor or combat groups,or if you are an RPG’er who is interested in the subject,or just a fan of gladiators, hopefully we can fill your needs!
